Full Circle Moments

✈️✈️✈️❤️❤️❤️🙌🙌🙌🙏🙏🙏🔥🔥🔥
In December of 2002 I was released from federal prison carrying a single cardboard box 📦. My name, federal inmate number, and the address of the halfway house I was heading to were written on the box with a thick, black Sharpie marker. Inside was a pair of sweatpants, a sweatshirt, a white terry bathrobe I had purchased on Commissary, letters from my mom who had just died a few months earlier, and my workbooks from the RDAP program. All of my remaining worldly possessions were in that box.
I felt embarrassment and shame flush my face as I “checked” my cardboard box with the airline attendant who met me at the curb at the DFW airport when the BOP transport van dropped me off. I was on my way to a halfway house in Barrio Logan, San Diego, with nothing and no one but Jesus.
On February 6, 2025, I sat in the back seat of my friend’s car with a black sharpie marker and wrote my name and address on a single cardboard box. I was getting the box ready to “check as luggage” for my flight from Orlando, Florida, to DFW, when it suddenly HIT ME! This day was the SECOND TIME in my life that I checked a cardboard box as luggage. Only TODAY’S BOX contained 56 copies of my book, #allmyhopeaprisonernomore. Instead of being alone, I was traveling with a group of incredible warrior sisters in Christ! We were heading INTO THE SAME FEDERAL PRISON that I was released from over two decades ago, and we were taking that box of books inside the prison to bring the love and HOPE of Jesus to the women incarcerated where I once was. 😭😭😭🙌🙌🙌
THIS is redemption!
THIS is my Jesus!
