There is a semi-new trend today in the workforce. People are doing something called “Quiet Quitting.”

Harvard Business Review defines Quiet Quitting as “doing only the minimum requirement of one’s job and putting in no more time, effort, and enthusiasm than what is absolutely necessary.” In other words, if someone does not feel recognized or appreciated or valued – if they don’t feel like they are “winning” – they don’t actually leave their job. Instead, they still show up in body but they don’t bring their FULL self! They don’t give their ALL.

If you really think about it …. sometimes we “believers” do the same thing. Stay with me here…. I’m going somewhere good with this, I promise!

Let me share a couple of examples of what I’m talking about here!

Example 1. I don’t feel recognized, valued, or appreciated (at church…in that ministry…in that volunteer role) so I’m just going to silently withdraw and not give my best. I’m going to show up – but I’m not going to go all in. (Please understand, I’m NOT saying here that it’s okay to not show appreciation to volunteers. I’m a HUGE believer in appreciating and loving people but when we do not receive the appreciation and recognition we feel we deserve, we CANNOT let it get under our skin and cause us to lay down and quit on the inside. We are the ones who lose when we do this because we don’t work for people – we work for God! And others lose, too, because we are not giving our best)

Example 2. I have been going through this struggle and I don’t feel like I’m winning, I don’t have victory, so I’m just going to quit trying. I’m going to quit fighting for my ministry, my sobriety, my marriage, my kids’ salvation. I haven’t won yet so I’m just going to quit trying and pretend I don’t care anymore.

Example 3. I’m tired of pressing in and believing and fighting for that miracle. It’s too hard. It’s too painful. I don’t see the victory so I’m just going to pretend I changed my mind and I don’t want it anymore.

But what does GOD say??

I Corinthians 15:57-58 says: “But thanks be to God, who gives us the victory through our Lord Jesus Christ. Therefore, my beloved brothers, be steadfast, immovable, always abounding in the work of the Lord, knowing that in the Lord your labor is not in vain.”

You see – God GIVES us the victory (Verse 57) – But WE must give OUR FULL SELF (Verse 58)! When we face disappointment, delay, denial, rejection, struggles, challenges…. we must NOT lay down and quit!

You and I are NOT quiet quitters!!!! We must NOT give up. We must REMAIN STEADFAST in these times we are living in! BE immovable!!! GIVE YOUR BEST to the kingdom of God! Give your best in prayer and intercession for your unsaved family and friends!!! Give your BEST to your “God-assignments” (It’s important to know what is YOUR assignment – and what is not! But that’s another post for another day) and KNOW that NOTHING you do for Jesus is ever in vain!

I’m talking to somebody who has grown weary! I’m talking to somebody who has been disillusioned. I’m talking to someone who has been in an uphill battle and you still can’t see the top of the mountain. DO NOT QUIT! Reconciliation, wisdom, victory, strength, anointing, vision, mountain-moving faith, grace, and VICTORY are YOURS in Christ Jesus!

If there is still breath in your lungs, it is TOO SOON to quit!

Stand on the Word of God! Press in! Keep going! And whatever you do – give ALL of who you are because God has given HIS all and HIS best to YOU already!

You can DO this!!!!
